American Oak
“American oak” typically refers to oak wood sourced from oak trees that are native to North America. There are several species of oak trees in North America, but the two primary types used for woodworking and various applications are white oak (Quercus alba) and red oak (Quercus rubra). For the “Evolving” sculpture red oak has been used.
