“Faith”
By Jan-Carel Koster
Unique artwork
The name “Faith” certainly has a meaning for Jan-Carel. And while he normally mentions the meaning of the image, he does not want to describe it. He thinks the title tells more than enough about this image. In addition, he thinks it is important in this case that the serene appearance of this abstraction in combination with the title should evoke its own story for the viewer.

Poem created for this sculpture
Recently, a classical poet from Belgium wrote a verse/poem to accompany this sculpture. And to use his words; he made a verse about this. His name is Rob Van de Zande and this is his verse that accompanies this image:
“Faith”
Wanneer hij houwt uit het wezen
En als som geen marmeren regen,
Op een praalbede hoeft te vrezen.
Zo heeft hij thans weder bewezen –
Schoon dient maar één belijdenis,
Die uit z’n hogere hand verrezen
Hier als godsvrucht neergedaald is.
Rojo Alicante
Rojo Alicante refers to a type of red marble that is quarried in the Alicante region of southeastern Spain. This marble is known for its striking red color with white or golden veins and is widely used in various architectural and decorative applications.
